Season 7 of 24 in doubt and maybe thats good

The Ny Post tv column reported that due to the length of the writers strike that there will be no 24 in 2008. The reason given was that fox prefers to carry 24 in consecutive one hour segments and just not enough time this year and 24 to begin in jan 09
There may be a silver lining as early indications were that this years plot was going to be worse then dismal amatuerish season 6. Season 7 had jack bauer being feminized with a pc new female agent who bears her soul in deciding if she can be vicios enough to deal with terrorists. opening the season with jack being interrogated by wash dc harry reid and pelosi types. hillary clinton type president and jeanne carafalo ugh, and the worst decision, bringing tony back from the dead as a terrorist to be hunted down by jack.
If the quality of 24 is to become pc garbage where jack becomes a cartoon character then maybe 24 should not be revived in 09. The writing in 07 was an embarrassment and info re forthcoming season 7 was disappointing. I dont agree that Carafalo can seaparate her acting from her political reviews of air america. The entire plot of season 7 should be scrapped by fox, and characters recast to non political types. Bringing back tony from the dead is an insult to the fans of 24.
I was looking forward to season 7 but not the pc garbage that is contained in the 8 episodes already shot.
